Victor Ariza, a Florida resident with a visual disability, initiated federal legal proceedings in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division, on October 2nd, 2023. The plaintiff alleges that a prominent restaurant chain, which operates numerous establishments and an associated online presence, has failed to uphold digital accessibility standards required under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title III. This action seeks declaratory and injunctive relief to address the asserted discriminatory practices.

The complaint specifically details several critical access barriers encountered by the plaintiff, who relies on screen reader software to navigate online content. Identified violations include unnamed or improperly labeled interactive elements, such as location and online order buttons, rendering key site functions inaccessible.
