ADA Website Accessibility Lawsuit: Online Mobile Services Provider

Plaintiff Christian Sanchez has filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on November 30, 2020. Represented by Cohen & Mizrahi LLP, Mr. Sanchez, a visually-impaired individual, contends that the website of an online mobile services provider creates significant barriers, effectively denying him and other blind consumers equal access to the digital offerings and facilities.

Deficiencies in keyboard operability, such as an indiscernible focus indicator and uncontrolled context changes upon focus, are also highlighted, alongside issues with programmatic language determination, missing input labels for CAPTCHAs, invalid HTML markup, inaccessible PDF documents, and the inability to programmatically determine the name and role of user interface elements.
