ADA Website Accessibility Lawsuit: Paint Company

Plaintiff Meghan Downing, represented by WILSHIRE LAW FIRM, has filed a class action lawsuit against a California paint company in the United States District Court for the Central District of California on November 3, 2021. The lawsuit alleges that the defendant's website fails to provide full and equal access to visually impaired individuals, violating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.

Other alleged violations involve issues with keyboard navigation where focus indicators are indiscernible, empty and redundant links whose purpose cannot be programmatically determined, inaccessible Portable Document Format (PDFs), and the inability for screen-reading software to determine the name and role of user interface elements.
